All Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA is featuring 1972 SPRINTS

Registration for the special Carlisle PA all Ford Nationals ends March 25th. The show is June 5-7. I’ve been to the show about two dozen times and had my 2nd Sprint convertible in building T on display one time. I attended the very first show and 1995 with my 72 Mach1 and I’m not sure if I can bring my 3rd convertible as I am 2,200 miles away living in Arizona but I hope to be there in person to see some nice 1972 Sprints.

Please check out the Facebook page for all 1972 Sprints. The page is 1972 Olympic Sprint Mustangs and was created in 2013. There are hundreds of pictures from current time and going back all the way to March of 1972 when the Sprints were first advertised. There are over 500 members including sprint owners around the world.

@timhardsteel-net The old website was maintained by Bob Kipp but was not kept up to date and the domain name was not renewed. Bob had a tribute convertible and sold it to some who has listed on Ebay recently for more than a real one sold for at auction last year.

I'll re register my car. I actually have (2) Sprint Mustangs , (1) Sprint Maverick and (1) Sprint Pinto. All need restoring

@rext What happened to the Web site? I looked at the cars that are registered and I didn't see mine. I have printed out information from years ago where I registered my car. What happened?

I am starting the restoration of the seats and interior on my Sports roof, and I have a couple of questions. I am removing the aftermarket seat covers and replacing them with the correct white vinyl and blue cloth inserts, and red piping.

1) Do the rear seats get the "silver" seat back buttons, like the ones on the front seat?

2) Is there supposed to be a white divider between the rear seat backs? I have seen old pictures with this being shown across the mid point of the rear seat backs.

3) The back of the front seats, is that just painted white or is wrapped in vinyl?

4) Seat belt color, is BLACK the correct color? Mine are black, but can't find a good picture that shows them in it?
